Naidu to London, farmers to Singapore!
Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has no money to run the government; as was evident by the statement of the finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu who admitted that the government is going in for overdraft almost every day. Yet, Naidu does not hesitate to waste money on foreign trips at the cost of public exchequer to put up the show that he is doing a lot for the state. On Wednesday, the Chief Minister’s Office confirmed that Naidu, along with director S S Rajamouli, would be visiting London on October 25 to give final nod to the designs made by Norman Fosters and Partners for the government buildings of Amaravati. Needless to say, it is a sheer waste of money, as the architects themselves can sit in Amaravati to fine tune the designs submitted to the chief minister a few days ago and make changes according to his wishes.
